Wedding season is upon us, and while finding the perfect wedding dress can be a dream come true for some brides, others seem to have missed the mark entirely. I cannot believe the amount of truly ugly wedding dresses out there!
First Up: Too Many Poufs
First up on our list of unattractive wedding dresses: this monstrosity! Apparently, the bride was going for a "more is more" approach when it came to poufs. This dress looks like it's swallowing the bride whole. The lace detailing is pretty, but it's hard to appreciate when you're distracted by the sheer volume of material.
Next: Awful Orange Sorbet
Next up is this bright orange sorbet wedding dress. I'm not sure what the bride was going for here, but it certainly wasn't elegance or sophistication. The color is so garish, and the cut of the dress is so unflattering. It's hard to see past the glaring color and appreciate anything else about the dress.
The Wedding Dress Train Wreck
Let's talk about this wedding dress worn by actress Anne Hathaway. There are a few issues with this dress, starting with the fact that it looks like several different dresses sewn together. The top half is fine, but then you have the massive, flowing train that looks like a crumpled mess. And don't even get me started on the veil! This is a classic example of trying to do too much and ending up with a dress that's just a big old mess.
Pepto Bismol for a Wedding Dress
Next, we have this pink nightmare of a wedding dress. I'm not sure what's worse: the fact that the dress is pink, or the fact that it's completely overwhelmed by enormous ruffles. It looks like a bottle of Pepto Bismol exploded all over this poor bride. It's hard to imagine anyone feeling their best on their wedding day while wearing something like this.
Australian, Asian Fusion
Finally, we have this gem of a dress. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what's going on here. It seems like the designer took inspiration from a number of different cultures and tried to mash them all together. The result is a confusing mess of texture, shape, and color. I think the fact that the bride is holding a parasol is the only thing keeping this dress from looking like a total disaster.
