Oh my god, have you guys seen these civil wedding dresses? They are seriously making me question every fashion decision I have ever made in my life. Like, I thought I knew what constituted a cute wedding dress, but apparently not.

Okay, first of all, what in the world is happening with this dress? Are we going for bridal or cocktail party? It's like a mix between a white shift dress and a romper. And what's with the cape thing? Are we trying to look like a superhero about to save her fiancé from the clutches of evil? I'm so confused.

And don't even get me started on this dress. I mean, sure, it looks like it would be comfortable and easy to move in, but is that really what we're going for at a wedding? It looks like something you'd wear to the courthouse to fight a traffic ticket, not to marry the love of your life. And why are we wearing a jacket over a wedding dress? Is it cold in the courthouse or is this some weird fashion statement? No, thank you.
The Verdict
I think I'm going to stick with a traditional wedding dress, thank you very much. I want to look like a princess, not like I accidentally wandered into a business meeting. But hey, to each their own. Maybe these dresses are the perfect fit for some people. I just know they're not the perfect fit for me.
In the meantime, I'll just be over here marveling at the creative genius (and questionable taste) of some of these wedding dress designers. Keep doing you, fashion world.
